Preschool Craft Program People?

Hello, LAPC-ers.
At yesterday's meeting I forgot to ask if the group had any recommendations for program presenters who specialize in preschool crafts. Sachem has lost two of our favorites (Odile and Jean Hall).
Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

January 24th LAPC Meeting

Highlights from this meeting:

Two Professionals that were mentioned to use for Child Development portion of the workshop

Lenore Stam (former director of Long Island Infant Development)
email: lenore.stam@gmail.com
Phone: 516-536-7164
Fee: $115.00
Sheri Fox
Phone: 516-317-4222
Fee: $110.00

A great activity that was mentioned was to take 40 grit sand paper and cut up yarn and pieces of felt to place onto the sand paper. This acts as a felt board. This will also add to having the kids feel different textures.

A tip that a librarian shared was if you wanted to make the color of the playdough a deeper color try using Wilton Paste.

LeapFrog: Tag
The Leapfrog Tag Readers were mentioned at this meeting. Some libraries have these and say they can't keep them on the shelf the kids are loving them so much. There was one library that purchased the newest item from leapfrog which is the Leap Frog Tag Junior. The junior ones are for board books now. You can visit this site to learn more about these great tools for kids to use. LeapFrog: Tag
